Please reach us at officehotd@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Yes, appointments are required for all services.
Absolutely. For everyone's safety, all dogs in our facility for grooming, boarding, or daycare must be up to date on their Rabies, Bordetella, Distemper, and Canine Influenza vaccinations.
Head on over to our grooming, daycare, or boarding pages listed above. Depending on the services you're interested in, you will find prices listed on the corresponding page.
The grooming prices listed are the base prices for different grooms based on the specific dogs breed. Keep in mind that prices may increase due to factors like excessive matting.
Typically we are booked four to six weeks in advance for grooming, depending on the groomer and size of your dog. If you're looking for a holiday appointment, be sure to book a few months in advance; we fill up quick for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
For daycare & boarding reservations, typically a few weeks in advance is best. We fill up fast on holidays and weekends as well for boarding.
Our apartment suite for overnight staff doubles as the "geriatric suite" where older dogs and shy pups are welcome to spend the day in a less hectic environment. We have cozy bedding, fresh water, and usually one to two other calm dogs that hang out in the apartment during their stay. If your dog would be most comfortable in our apartment suite, let us know upon booking so that we can note it in their file.
Definitely. We can separate "intact" dogs as needed, and monitor during play with the group. We like to give them a chance to socialize and run around and play, as long as they are respecting boundaries of their friends.
Absolutely! We're the best there is at what we do, so feel free to send us big'ns or old dogs. Pups who are elderly or disabled can feel safe in our geriatric suite, and we are equipped with bands that help prop up dogs who have trouble standing. We will go at the pace that your pup is most comfortable with, taking breaks for resting their joints as needed. Let us know upon scheduling what specific condition(s) your dog has and we will accommodate as needed.
Just bring food (in an airtight container/bag), any medications or supplements they need, instructions, and a happy pup!
Beds, blankets, and toys can sometimes cause dogs to get defensive, or get ruined by other dogs. We have plenty of dog bedding, blankets, and toys here at the salon the pups can use during their stay.
If your dog is boarding with us and needs to take medications, we're more than happy to administer them! Just provide us with instructions and your dog will receive their meds whenever they need them.
With our limited space and small lobby, we are not equipped to allow owners to wait in the salon while their dog is being groomed. Having people waiting in the lobby also keeps the dogs excitable and more difficult to groom. If you need your dog back quickly, let us know when you book your appointment and we will do the best we can to accommodate you.
We are conveniently located next door to a veterinarian! In the unlikely event of an emergency that cannot wait for a trip to your regular vet, we trust Asheville Veterinary Associates to care for our clients.
Unfortunately we do not allow pit bull breeds for grooming, daycare, or boarding services.
Our facility is not perfectly suited for every dog's disposition. It's just not for everyone! If your dog is skittish or defensive, we are happy to work with them within reason. However, if your pet is consistently dog or human aggressive, we may not be the best choice for them.
